Carl T. Delfeld submits:
With all the money that has poured into emerging markets in recent years, there is still one sector offering growth opportunity: nuclear power. Developing countries, particularly China and India, are building fast and furiously.
There are now 438 commercial nuclear reactors in the world, providing 16% of the globe’s electricity. In the U.S. there are 108 reactors providing 22% of the nation’s electricity needs. Meanwhile, 80% of France’s power and 65% of Japan’s comes from nuclear power plants. The U.K., Finland and Sweden are following suit.
